Hey all,
There are just over 48 hours left to back the latest volume of Leif & Thorn!
Volume 8: Tread Softly: the book where Kale gets his magic unblocked (on purpose, for once)...Leif dodges his Terms of Service harder (hah) than ever...and Thorn has two hands.
We hit our main funding goal a few days ago. Then unlocked the first stretch goal, where you can add chibi magnets of both Thorn and Leif to your reward tier.
Less than $100 left to reach the second stretch goal: adding a Kale magnet to the options.
This is already my best-performing BackerKit campaign, and it's less than $500 from becoming the second-most-funded Leif & Thorn book. Really exciting. All my appreciation for everyone who's joined us so far.

The campaign to print the next Leif & Thorn book is live on BackerKit!
Volume 7 is the book that's half "techbro grifters but make it magic spelltech," and half "a teenage version of Thorn from a traditional magical-girl universe gets isekai'd into the main reality."
Missed a book? Use the "Extra Leif & Thorn paperback of choice" add-on to fill any gaps in your collection. (Then grab any other books + merch you've had your eyes on.)

Well, this is awkward. I have been so focused on learning and experimenting with the new BackerKit Crowdfunding interface, I never circled back and told readers on Kickstarter that the Leif & Thorn Volume 6 campaign is live.

This is the book where a time-traveling secret agent scrambles to get Leif, Thorn, and the rest of the cast through a day without any paradoxes, public health crises, or major character deaths. (Harder than it sounds.)
We hit the first stretch goal earlier this week, so it's going to be 192 pages. If we can hit another before the end, I'm making new pins.
And it ends in, uh, a little over 24 hours. Procrastinators and deadline-pushers, now is your time to shine.

Gearing up to print Leif & Thorn book 6

After a long grind of packing and shipping, all the Leif & Thorn Volume 5 packages are in the mail except one...and the reason is, I ran out of stock of one of the rewards, so I had to order more.
File that under "good problems to have."
In the meantime...who's ready to gear up for Volume 6?
(Yeah, I know, me neither.)
Leif & Thorn 6 will be funded through BackerKit. You already know the company, they've handled the amazing post-campaign surveys for my last few books. They've started hosting campaigns directly, cutting out the middleman -- and I managed to score an invite to their closed beta.
BackerKit has great tools for creators, and their customer service has always been on-point, so I'm looking forward to this!
Still -- trying out a new platform is always nerve-wracking. Even though it's still a few months away, give the project a boost by signing up to get notified when it launches?

International address update + Cover art winner

Finally putting the original cover art for Leif & Thorn Volume 5 in the mail! I snapped one last photo before taking it out of my sketchbook for good:
The lucky recipient is Eric T. Sorlien. Congratulations, Eric! The art will be shipped in a separate envelope from the book, so keep an eye out for both.
And now, a general status report:
US rewards: 75% shipped
International rewards: 0% shipped
...yeah, that second line is a little embarrassing. Even for a one-person operation, I was planning to pack faster than that! But here we are.
This means it's been about 2 months since I locked addresses. I know the US will automatically forward your mail, but I don't know the individual policies for every other country. So:
If you're outside the US and your address has changed, let me know!
A private message on Kickstarter is the easiest way to do it. PM me by the end of this week (so, May 13), and I'll change your status in BackerKit so you can update the address again.
